Scissor chair, Scissor armchair made of eight pairs of crossed S-shaped slats, connected at the bottom by runners and at the top by armrests, with a board backrest and seat, decorated with ivory inlay. The slats are fastened with a steel rod at the intersection, which, together with the lifting seat and backrest board, enables the structure to be folded and unfolded. The runners are angular, ending in carved animal paws at the front. The armrests are angular, ending in spheres and movable rings. The backrest is roughly triangular in shape, with a wavy outline, and the seat features an apron added at the front. The backrest board features an inlaid Medici coat of arms beneath a seven-baton crown, supported by putti and lions. Decoration around and on the seat is a grotesque twig; the slats are inlaid with rhombuses and further ornamented with crowns, coats of arms, lions, putti, plant twigs, grotesques, cartouches, rosettes, and mascarons. Dimensions: height 109.5 cm, width 70 cm, depth 57 cm., A wooden chair with a curved X-shaped frame composed of slatted ribs forming sweeping S-like curves, finished in a brown tone with lighter inlaid floral and decorative motifs on the seat, backrest, and arm tops; the backrest has a scalloped crest with carved edges and pale ornamental inlays, and the armrests end in rounded knobs; the legs are flat wooden runners in brown and the whole piece sits on a neutral gray surface against a pale gray background, with visible colors including brown, pale cream inlay, and gray.
