Pedestal, creator, provenance unknown. Biedermeier style. Pedestal in the shape of a column with a smooth shaft, a cylindrical base, on a square plinth. Entire piece veneered with birch burl. Shaft made of eight boards glued together at an angle from the front. Four plinth boards connected with diagonal dovetails. Shaft fastened to the plinth with four screws and additionally mounted on a central peg. Dated 1825–1835. Likely Poland. Furniture. Height 111.5 cm; width 44.5 cm; depth 44.5 cm., A tall cylindrical wooden column with a glossy, richly grained surface in warm amber and honey brown tones standing on a rounded wooden base and a square plinth of matching wood grain, set on a gray stone floor against a pale cream wall.
