Armchair, origin possibly Italy or Southern Germany, Rococo style, 3rd quarter of the 18th century. Carved, gilded and silver-plated frame originally white lacquered with gilded and silver-plated elements; seat and backrest woven with rattan thread. S-shaped legs with volute feet front ones shaped like a leaf. Wavy-cut lower frame; trapezoidal applied-seat frame with rounded front corners. Backrest shaped like a lying rectangle topped with an arch, straight with the back and slightly tilted back, with a clearance. S-shaped armrests and supports connected by a volute. Profiled frame elements with edges highlighted by a half-cylinder, decorated with acanthus leaves, rocaille motifs middle of upper and lower backrest frames and front frame, and floral sprigs on the knees of the legs. Seating furniture; height 101.6 cm, width 73 cm, depth 66.5 cm., A decorative chair with a carved frame finished in gold and a woven cane seat and back, featuring curved armrests and ornate floral and scroll detailing on the legs and crest; visible colors include gold, brown from the cane, and a pale neutral background.
