Armchair, animal paws, feathers, pre-war collection, upholstered. ARMCHAIR rectangular seat and backrest, with turned and angular structural elements. Legs mounted on runners terminating in animal paws at the front; the front legs transition into turned armrest supports, with cubes at the joints with the ties, frames, and armrests; the rear legs, together with the side rails of the backrest, are angular. Legs joined in pairs by ties – two turned ones at the front, one angular at the back. Flat, angular armrests, finished with a volute at the front and chamfered on the outside. The backrest is slightly tilted back, with a clearance, and the side rails are finished with carved, gilded pinnacles in the shape of volute-shaped acanthus leaves. The whole is upholstered in red silk velvet, finished with a silk ribbon with a geometric pattern, with a fringe at the bottom of the backrest and around the seat. Armchair of the poltrona da parata type, 16th–17th century, Italy, possibly Venice; seating piece. Height 121.5 cm, width 67.3 cm, depth 65.5 cm., A wooden armchair with turned legs and stretchers, carved paw feet, and flat wooden armrests, upholstered on the seat and back in worn deep red velvet with patterned trim and a fringe, topped at the back corners with two gold ornamental finials; visible colors include deep red, gold, brown, and a neutral gray background.
