Chair, attributed to Karl Friedrich Schinkel 1781–1841 as designer author of the original, Biedermeier style, c. 1825–1835, Poland, seating furniture. Biedermeier chair with a trapezoidal upholstered seat and a rectangular openwork backrest carved with a caduceus two winged snakes intertwined on a staff. Rectangular legs arched outward; back legs merge into the backrest frames. Straight frame; seat upholstered in striped fabric. Backrest topped with a wide board; bottom is slatted. Height 84 cm, width 48 cm, depth 49 cm., A wooden chair with a carved backrest showing a symmetrical motif and wing-like shapes, a cushioned seat covered in a striped fabric, tapered wooden legs, and a light-colored wall and tiled floor in the background; visible colors include shades of brown, beige, cream, and a few darker brown tones.
