Chest, provenance unknown, Baroque style. Acanthus twig and plant decoration, fantastic figures, monograms. Bottle-shaped with a convex lid, side walls slightly tapering toward the bottom. Decorated with openwork; repoussé fittings with plant motifs; supported by four steel rings covered on the long sides with wavy aprons. On the lid, three forged strips extending from the front into the lock hasps and strap hinges; between them the forged date ANNO 1704 DEN 3 MAJ. Below, on the front wall of the body, the monogram BH AC / WZ LS. Front features lock plates transitioning to aprons bearing the wheel axles at the bottom. Edges fitted with openwork steel bands with plant twig motifs. Sides with two pull handles. Walls and lid joined with exposed diagonal dovetails. Interior lined with paper no print and canvas. Webbing straps attached to the sides to hold the lid open. Mortice-type locks with elongated rectangular key covers with a knob. Dated to the 1st quarter of the 18th century, possibly Poland. Furniture, storage unit. Height 88.7 cm, width 141.5 cm, depth 75 cm., A wooden chest with a domed lid covered in dark metal scrollwork and decorative iron straps, showing a rich brown wood grain and darker brown to black metalwork with subtle reddish accents, a pair of metal handles on the sides, ornate carved wooden feet and lower edge with matching dark metal embellishments, and a neutral light gray background.
