Bedside table, Biedermeier style, mahogany; composed of an elongated platform outline similar to a triangle on three S-shaped legs with rollers, a fluted shaft mounted on it tapering upward, and a rectangular top. Shaft mounted on the short side of the platform houses a prismatic column with a metal rack and a top swivel-mounted on it. Height of the top adjusted using a crank working with the rack; top can be tilted by a brass ring with a clamp that fixes its position. Turned wooden crank handle. Date: 1815–1830, Europe. Function: furniture table.
