Bedside table, Biedermeier style; mahogany. Composed of an elongated platform outline similar to a triangle on three S-shaped legs with rollers; a fluted shaft mounted on it tapering upwards, and a rectangular top. The shaft is mounted on the short side of the platform, housing a prismatic column with a metal rack and a top swivel-mounted on it. The height of the top is adjusted using a crank working with the rack. The top can be tilted by a brass ring with a clamp that fixes its position. Turned wooden crank handle. 1815–1830, Europe. Furniture; table. Height 73.2 cm, width 81.2 cm, depth 41.2 cm., A wooden tilt-top table with a rectangular top in warm brown tones, supported by a turned, fluted central column and a single horizontal leg that ends in two carved feet with small brass castors; the table shows brass hardware where the top pivots and a small wooden handle on one side, all set against a plain light gray background with soft shadows.
