Chair, ca. 1840, Warsaw. Seating furniture with a padded balloon backrest and a trapezoidal padded seat removable cushion. Front legs spool-turned, on brass rollers with clamps; rear legs angular, tapered, slightly arched backwards, continuing into the backrest frames. Low frame with rounded front corners. Upholstery fabric not original — damask with a large floral pattern in purple and cream, finished with upholstery tape. Dimensions: height 97.5 cm, width 48 cm, depth 53.7 cm., A side view of a wooden chair with a cream-colored upholstered seat and backrest, showing dark brown wood legs and frame; the front legs are turned with a glossy finish and brass caster fittings at the bottom, while the back legs are curved and extend upward to form the chair back; the upholstery fabric appears slightly frayed along the lower edge; the background is a plain light gray, and visible colors include cream, dark brown, brass, and gray.
