Sleigh, rococo two-seater, carved, polychrome, gilded; 3rd quarter of the 18th century, Poland . The sleigh is in the shape of a gondola made using the dugout canoe method, painted blue, with a wavy upper rim highlighted by a half-cylinder and channel sections with rocaille motifs. Front fashioned as a mascaron painted red, framed with acanthus leaves; rear has a trestle originally upholstered with a carved acanthus beneath. Inside the sled are four sockets for connection with skid supports. Subjects/ornament: mascarons, men's heads, rocaille, acanthus. Height 57 cm; width 208 cm; depth 68 cm., An elongated carved wooden object viewed from above with ornate scrollwork and a handle, showing a worn dark brown central surface surrounded by carved raised borders in muted teal and gold tones, with areas of faded reddish-brown and natural wood peeking through; the carving includes flowing leaf-like forms and rounded protrusions, and the handle end is darker teal with small lighter patches and a rectangular pale patch, all set against a neutral light gray background.
