Rectangular game table, square when unfolded, supported by four angular, converging legs with wedge feet; veneered and inlaid. The top is divided into three rectangular fields, enclosed by a ribbon and two veins, filled with vases outermost and a chessboard. 18th/19th century, Central Europe, possibly Gdansk. Furniture; game furniture. Height 77 cm, width 42.5 cm, depth 86 cm., A wooden tabletop with a decorative inlaid chessboard at its center and a decorative panel on each side, all in tones of brown, tan, beige, and yellow, set against a pale gray background; the central chessboard shows alternating light and dark wood squares, the side panels each feature an inlaid urn-like motif in lighter wood against a darker brown field framed by a lighter border, with visible wood grain, varnish sheen, and some worn or scuffed areas; beneath the top, parts of a wooden frame and legs are visible in dark brown with some lighter inlay accents and areas of chipped or worn finish.
