Padlock, 19th century. A padlock in the shape of a cuboid with the upper part topped by a cornice; on each side two small cuboids are connected by a cylindrical rod functioning as an earring. After unlocking, the side wall together with the earring is pulled out, facilitated by an openwork hinged handle. The keyhole is horizontal on the longer wall. Technique: locksmithing. Dimensions: height 12.6 cm, width 12.7 cm, depth 6.2 cm., A metal block with a rectangular shape and a U-shaped cutout sits upright against a pale gray background; the block has a rough, weathered surface in metallic gray and shows a few vertical ridged patterns on the inner faces of the cutout, a cylindrical metal rod of darker gray spans the gap on one side, and a small metal loop with a decorative knob is attached to the top.
