Teapot, Rundell Bridge & Rundell fl. ca. 1788–1845 goldsmiths, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmiths. Tea vessel, hemispherical on a low cylindrical pedestal; body decorated in the lower part with radial curls and at the upper edge with a band of acanthus leaves. Hinged lid surrounded by a raised collar with an applied vine branch with clusters. Double handle of blackened wood set in caps upper caps shaped as snake heads, lower as tails. Applied Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament with labry and the motto Badz co sie jest; iconography includes vines, snake, Pogon Ruska coat of arms, rank crowns, princely mitre, mottos, paludamentum, labry, acanthus leaves, clasp. Date: 1803/1804, London, England. Materials/technique: vessel tea vessel. Dimensions: height 13 cm, width 24.6 cm, depth 17.2 cm; weight 1002 g., A shallow, rounded metallic bowl with a decorative rim and fluted lower section sits centered on a smooth surface, topped by an ornate lid with sculpted raised motifs and paired elongated dark handles that meet vertically at the front; the scene shows a palette of silver, gray, black, and off-white tones, with subtle reflections and soft shadows on a pale neutral background.
