Nautilus Cup, shell cup on a four-part profiled foot that transitions into a knobbed foot decorated with flowers; shaft formed as a figure of a man holding a halberd, standing on a decoration of volute silver ribbon repeated at the base of the cup; rim framed in silver and topped with a figure of a nude woman with her right hand raised, probably holding a missing element; case included. Baroque style, masterpiece. 2nd half of the 17th century, Central Europe. Vessel; height 37 cm, width 17 cm, depth 18 cm., A decorative object composed of a large iridescent shell with pearly pink, green, and gold tones mounted on a metallic support, topped by a small gold figure standing on the shell, above a group of ornate silver and gold embellishments; below the shell a gold humanoid figure holds a long staff with a pointed end and stands on a floral-like gold and silver platform, all rising from a gold base with rounded edges and embossed leaf-like decorations, set against a plain gray background.
