Baroque silver travel spoon with a teardrop-shaped scoop decorated on the reverse with the Korczak coat of arms in a decorative cartouche, with the SL monogram on the sides; stylized plant twig decorations; all decorations in niello; the inside of the scoop gilded. Traditional attribution of niello-painted artefacts to the centre in Lviv is not necessarily correct; niello was also used in other centres of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth at that time. Despite the very good quality of the decoration, its value is enhanced by the preserved case, undoubtedly made for it; very few cases without spoons have survived. 1st half 18th century, Poland possibly Lviv. Cutlery. Height 22.9 cm, width 5.6 cm., Coat of arms: Korczak., A single ornate spoon shown against a gradient gray background, with a rounded bowl and a long narrow handle; the spoon surface features intricate decorative patterns and motifs, including scrollwork and a central emblem-like design in darker tones against a lighter metal; the handle displays a repeating decorative border running its length; visible colors include shades of gray, silver, and darker charcoal.
