Mantel clock by Alexandre Pertrand fl. ca. 1840. Mantel clock in the form of a four-column portico on a cuboid base and counter-base; boxwood inlays on the front of the cornice and base with a rhombus rosette and a tendril on both pilasters; gilded bronze bases and capitals. A suspended movement with a silver dial with Roman numerals and two keyholes hangs between the columns. A gilded bronze frame with shells surrounds the clock. Oak construction with rosewood facing and light wood insets, ca. 1840, Paris, France. Timepiece; height 47 cm, width 21 cm., The image shows a wooden rectangular object with polished light brown and dark brown wood panels and a framed edge, set against a pale gray background; behind it is another similar wooden section with decorative gold-colored ornate detailing and curved elements partially visible, and a hint of a gold-colored decorative rim peeking above the front panel. The visible colors include light brown, dark brown, gold, pale gray, and a few darker wood grain tones.
