Silver platter in the form of a full-plastic scallop shell, knotted and ribbed, decorated on the rim with a motif of relief flowers, leaves and channel sections; supported on three shell feet, 1890/1891, Sheffield, England, Great Britain. Vessel; height 2.5 cm, width 15.3 cm, depth 13.1 cm, weight 113 g., A scallop-shaped metallic dish with an ornate rim and a textured, ribbed interior, displaying decorative scrollwork and floral-like motifs along the edges; the surface is reflective with polished and matte areas, showing highlights and subtle shadowing; visible colors include silver tones, grey, and hints of darker tarnished grey.
