In the center of the segments are alternating shells and volutes with a fan motif. From the slightly concave surface a conical lower part of the shaft protrudes, upon which a baluster with octagonal profiles is placed. Vase sleeve with octagonal profiles. Dated 1740s. Origin: Royal Prussia, Gdansk, Poland. Function: candlestick lighting. Dimensions: height 19.4 cm; width 13.1 cm; depth 13.2 cm. Weight: 295 g., A single metallic candlestick stands upright against a plain background, showing a polished reflective surface in shades of gray and silver. The base is ornate with curved, scalloped edges and flowing, embossed designs that catch highlights and shadows. The stem tapers upward with a series of decorative, faceted sections and rounded nodes, each reflecting light differently to create contrasts of brighter silver and darker gray. The top has a cup-shaped holder with angular facets and a darker interior, and the overall object appears smooth and shiny with subtle differences in tone across its surfaces.
