Single-candle candlestick by Hieronymus Holl II 1660–1732, goldsmith. On an octagonal foot with alternating straight sections, in the form of a half-cylinder with pincer and wavy decoration. The main surface is circular, slightly concave, from which the lower part of the shaft extends, terminating in an octagonal, flattened node. Above, the shaft is an octagonal baluster widening upwards; the sides are alternately smooth and engraved with acanthus leaves. Cylindrical profiled sleeve, expanded at upper and lower parts. Dated 1721–1730, made in Gdansk, Royal Prussia, Poland. Function: lighting. Height 14.5 cm; width 11.2 cm; weight 207 g., A single metallic candlestick stands centered on a plain surface against a neutral background, showing a shiny silver color with polished highlights and subtle darker tones in recessed areas; the candlestick has a flared base with decorative raised edges and engraved floral motifs, a tapered central stem with rounded and faceted sections, and a cup-like top with a patterned band around it, all reflecting light and casting faint reflections on the surface below.
