Engraved inscription under the rim on the outside: Ms WILCKLER A ALTONA FAIT A BORDEAUX CE PREMIER AVRIL 1783. Date: 1783. Place of origin: Bordeaux, France. Vessel; height 2.6 cm, width 11.0 cm., A circular metallic bowl with a shallow, rounded center sits against a smooth pale gray background; the bowl's surface shows a reflective silver tone with areas of darker gray patina and lighter highlights, visible scratches and small blemishes across the interior, and a slightly worn rim with uneven texture.
