Key, Roman Szewczykowski 1849–1901 provenance gift; 19th century locksmithing key. Full shaft ending in a flattened ball, with a quill with cutouts on the lower edge for a ratchet lock. Base of the shaft with a profiled bulge; handle in the form of a heart topped with a p-rectangle with a hemispherical upper edge. Height 14.1 cm; width 4 cm; depth 1.5 cm., A single ornate metal key is centered against a light gray background; the key has a decorative bow with curved cutouts and a weathered silver-gray surface, a long cylindrical shank with subtle darker patina, a ridged collar near the top, and a rectangular bit with several notches, ending in a rounded tip.
