On the shaft is a figure of an eagle with outstretched wings supporting the frame. Rectangular frame with side pillars decorated with two angels with shields featuring the Prussian eagle, an angel with a banner, and a fourth with an oak branch. Topped with pinnacles bearing angels with olive branches. Triangular closure with openwork tracery and topped with a finial. The frame is fitted with secondary frosted glass. Neo-Gothic composition uses figures from the monument to the wars of 1813–1815, designed by Schinkel, built 1818–1821 and erected in Kreuzberg near Berlin; the figures were made by Friedrich Tieck, Ludwig Wilhelm Wichmann, and Christian Daniel Rauch. Function: lighting., A triangular metal object with rounded inner surfaces and a rough, pitted texture sits against a light gray background, showing a dark gray to greenish-gray patina with small areas of brownish discoloration; the interior has a central raised fastening element with a metallic, slightly yellowish-bronze tone and a nearby small round hole, and each corner contains a small square recess with darker metal pieces; the outer rim appears worn with faint lighter gray highlights and the object casts a soft reflection on a glossy surface beneath it.
