Chamberlain's key case, Rectangular key case with a hinged cover and two clasp hooks. Trimmed with red leather, with gilded embossing; on the cover a frame along the edge with an ornament in the corners. In the centre a ducal mitre. On the underside a gilded frame along the edge, in the centre an ungilded embossed rhombus with an inscribed quatrefoil, and in the centre a rhombus with a four-petal rosette. Glued on a printed card with inventory numbers numbers added in ink. 1833, Germany. Varia. Height 9.8 cm, width 5.9 cm, depth 1.8 cm., A rectangular object with a textured red surface lies against a pale gray background, decorated with ornate gold embellishments including corner flourishes and a central gold emblem that resembles a crowned shield with intricate linework; a small metal clasp is visible on one side and a small decorative label with a blue border is attached near one edge.
