Pair of earrings made of 56 gold with a faceted rock crystal teardrop set in gold and suspended from a faceted crystal ball. 19th century, St. Petersburg, Russia. Jewelry., An open brown case with a hinged lid reveals a pale green velvety interior holding a pair of dangling earrings; the lid interior shows dark brown textured lining and light beige corners, and the case edges are dark brown with a small brass clasp. The earrings feature faceted clear round beads, small gold-toned spherical elements and tapered gold-toned fittings above faceted clear teardrop pendants, all set against the pale green background. The visible colors include brown, pale green, dark brown, beige, gold, and clear.
