Materials: 56 gold and faceted rock crystal teardrop set in gold, suspended from a faceted crystal ball. Date: 19th century. Place: St. Petersburg, Russia. Function: jewelry., An open hinged case with a brown exterior and pale greenish interior lining holds a pair of dangling earrings; the interior lid is a creamy off-white with some small stains and a blue circular mark, while the lower interior is a soft pale green velvet with slight discoloration. The earrings feature clear faceted round beads at the top, small gold-colored spherical beads below them, tapered gold-colored metal connectors, and elongated clear faceted teardrop pendants at the bottom. The visible colors include brown, creamy off-white, pale green, blue, clear/transparent, and gold.
