Monstrance reliquary by Johann Gottfried Schlaubitz fl. 1733–1771, goldsmith; originally containing relics of the Holy Cross; rococo silver reliquary in the shape of a monstrance, supported on a circular quadripartite profiled foot with vertical ribs decorated with rooster combs, passing into a shaft with a pear-shaped rocaille nodus; a glory decorated with rocailles and garlands; center oval cutout for relics surrounded by rays, below it a flaming heart engraved with the letters IRS and the Zejbersdorf von Sartawski coat of arms. Inscription on the foot: Pro Ecclesia Obizinenzi 1748 ca. 1748. Provenance: church in Obozin Obozin; Starogard County. Materials: silver; function: reliquary. Dimensions: height 31 cm, width 13.5 cm, depth 12 cm., A decorative metallic object stands upright against a plain gray background, featuring an ornate top section with elaborate scrollwork and sculpted floral and shell-like motifs in silver and gold tones, a central oval opening encircled by a sunburst-like gold ring, a sculpted stem with textured leafy and scroll details in silver, and a rounded base with flowing gold and silver surfaces and embossed ornamentation; visible colors include silver, gold, gray, and a neutral background gray.
