Monstrance reliquary by Johann Gottfried Schlaubitz fl. 1733–1771, goldsmith; originally containing relics of the Holy Cross. Rococo silver reliquary in the shape of a monstrance, supported on a circular, quadripartite, vertically ribbed profiled foot decorated with rooster combs, passing into a shaft with a pear-shaped rocaille nodus; a glory decorated with rocailles and garlands; center oval cutout for relics surrounded by rays, below it a flaming heart engraved with the letters IRS and the Zejbersdorf von Sartawski coat of arms. Inscribed on the foot: Pro Ecclesia Obizinenzi 1748 ca. 1748. Materials: silver; style: rocaille/Rococo. Dimensions: height 31 cm, width 13.5 cm, depth 12 cm., An ornate metallic object stands against a plain gray background, featuring a decorative top section with a central oval opening surrounded by radiating petal-like shapes; the surface shows intricate scrollwork and carved floral motifs. The object displays a mix of silver and gold tones, with gold accents on the circular surround, the finial at the top, parts of the stem, and the rounded base, while the rest is predominantly silver. The stem is sculpted with flowing curves and shell-like elements, leading to a broad rounded base that combines smooth curved panels and embossed ornamentation in both silver and gold hues.
