Cross from the binding of a liturgical book or processional, liturgies, processions, enamelling, Romanesque cross with a relief image of Christ and the inscription XPS/IHS. Originally enameled, currently without traces of enamel. Only the feet of the Crucified figure remain. Found in 1911 in a field near Slomniki then within the Kingdom of Poland. Described as a plaque from the binding of a liturgical book; possibly a processional cross. May come from Kacice, which belonged to the Cistercians who later settled in Mogila. Beginning of the 13th century, Limoges, France. Cross, height 21 cm, width 13.5 cm., A weathered metal cross-shaped plate with irregular edges and a group of small circular holes near the ends and along the body, showing a mottled surface with patches of green, brown, dark reddish-brown, and hints of yellowish discoloration, set against a plain neutral gray background.
