Souvenir spoon with a scoop from the papal medal of Pius VI minted on the occasion of the anniversary of the pontificate, depicting on the obverse the head of the pope with the inscription on the rim PIVS SEXTVS PONT MVI and on the reverse a representation of the personification of abundance Abundantia? and the partially preserved rim inscription DE SANCTO 1780.... 19th century, Italy. Length 9.5 cm; width 2.3 cm; weight 10 g., A row of several decorative spoons is arranged horizontally on a flat gray background, showing a variety of bowl shapes and handle designs; colors visible include silver, gold, purple, red, blue, green, and hints of brown and black. The spoons feature a mix of polished metallic surfaces and ornate handles, with a few twisted metal stems, a group of enameled and bejeweled embellishments, a scallop-shaped bowl with purple tones, a large elongated bowl with a gold-toned interior, and a round bowl with a reflective silver surface and red and black decorative elements near its handle. The handles vary in length and end treatments, including rounded knobs, filigree-like terminals, and small ornamental attachments in gold and silver tones.
