Four-sided platter by Bradbury, Thomas & Sons Sheffield; goldsmiths; fl. ca. 1769–1943. Scrap-purchase provenance. Four-sided platter with slightly concave, raised sides; upturned, irregularly cut rim, decorated with a band of godron ornament. Engraved on the side with a rooster standing on a crown; dated 1903/1904, London, England, Great Britain. Dish. Height 3.9 cm; width 25 cm; depth 20.8 cm; weight 684 g., A shallow, square metal dish with gently rounded corners and a raised decorative rim sits against a plain light background; the dish has a smooth, reflective interior surface showing small blemishes and fine scratches, and the rim features a twisted rope-like pattern with a series of scalloped indentations at the corners; the visible colors are silver and shades of gray, with highlights and darker gray reflections across the metal.
