Hip flask, George & Sons Birmingham; goldsmith's firm; fl. 1825–1928 maker; so-called cuboid hip flask with rounded corners; smooth, slightly curved; spout in the form of a narrow neck with an applied spherical hinged stopper; bottle narrowed in the lower part from the middle; on this part a slide-in container — a cup masking the narrowing is placed; the interior of the cup and the spout are gilded; 1907/1908; England, Birmingham; vessel; height 15.5 cm, width 7.6 cm, depth 2.7 cm; weight 240 g, A pair of metallic objects with smooth rounded shapes sit against a light gray background; one is a larger two-part container with a rounded cap and a hinged neck, showing a shiny silver surface with subtle scuffs and reflections, and the other is a smaller rounded metallic cup or cover with a similar silver finish and minor surface marks.
