Tray on legs, Mappin & Webb Ltd goldsmith, silversmith, dealers; fl. 1859–, maker, scrap - purchase, coats of arms, rank crown heraldry, ribbed; circular tray supported on three hoof-shaped legs, with a slightly raised, multi-partite, profiled and ribbed collar with serrated edges. Two coats of arms are engraved in the mirror under a noble crown. On the bottom in the middle, an inscription in italics is engraved: 29.9.1906 /von HvG. Dated 1906/1907. Table accessory; height 2.4 cm, diameter 21.2 cm, weight 350 g; made in Sheffield, England., A shallow round metal tray with a scalloped, raised rim and ornate curved edge sits on small rounded feet, showing a reflective surface with a subtle central decorative engraved motif; the tray appears in shades of silver and gray against a pale off-white background.
