Oval platter by Mappin & Webb Ltd goldsmith, silversmith, dealer; fl. 1859–, oval platter with smooth mirror and slightly raised collar surrounded by a godron half-cylinder; on the collar a four-field coat of arms under an earl's coronet, godron ornaments, rank crowns heraldry. 1904–1905. Sheffield, England. Dish. Height 2 cm; width 33 cm; depth 22.5 cm; weight 625 g., A reflective oval metal tray with a twisted rope-like rim, showing a smooth inner surface with faint surface scratches and a shallow recessed center; the tray appears metallic silver in color with darker silver reflections along the inner curve and rim, and the background is a pale light grey to white.
