Openwork cake stand on a circular base with a flange, raised and decorated in relief with rocaille and floral motifs; short stem supporting a circular bowl transitioning into a square one with upturned, rounded edges. Edges decorated with ovals, festoons, wreaths and rosettes. Materials/technique: openwork, relief decorations. Date: 1903/1904. Place: London, England, Great Britain. Function: vessel. Dimensions: height 7.2 cm; width 14.3 cm; depth 14.3 cm; weight 112 g., A decorative metal bowl viewed from above with an ornate scalloped rim and pierced sides, showing floral and scrollwork patterns in relief; the metal surface appears reflective and aged with areas of tarnish in shades of silvery gray and darker gray, with subtle hints of warm beige where the metal shows wear; the bowl has a central circular depression and concentric decorative bands with embossed flowers and curved motifs, and the background is a uniform light gray.
