Decoration/style: Neo-Rococo; engraved and relief ornament including rocailles, rocaille, rooster combs, acanthus volutes, shells, volutes, floral sprigs, vine leaves and grapes, high-relief insects butterflies, moths, midges, snails, a caterpillar, and four Dionysus masks. Description: supported on three volute legs terminating in vine leaves at the base; mirror with blind reserve richly decorated with engraved neo-Rococo ornament; slightly raised openwork collar with relief vine leaves and grapes and high-relief insects and mollusks; collar edge profiled with half-cylinder decorated with shells and rooster comb. Date: 1860–1861. Place: London, England, Great Britain. Function: vessel. Dimensions: height 3.9 cm; diameter 32.5 cm; weight 895 g., A round metallic tray with a scalloped, ornate rim featuring a decorative floral and shell motif and a smooth central surface that bears an intricate engraved ornamental design; the tray appears in shades of silver and gray, with some darker gray tarnish spots and subtle variations in sheen across the surface.
