Tea caddy, Nash, Bowles fl. 1720–ca. 1725 goldsmith; rococo; tea accessory; cuboid tea caddy with circular domed lid and a bowl on top; chamfered side edges; movable slide-in bottom. Surface decorated with repoussé ornament of floral and rocaille motifs on a grained background; front features an oval rocaille cartouche topped with an eagle, with engraved inscription inside: KENNETH Mc LEOD, / to his much loved Sister / ANNE ZABA, / Oct 23rd 1848; back shows a bouquet of flowers; sides show blooming, leafy roses. Engraved S on the bottom; 1723/1724 tins; ca. mid-19th century decoration. London, England, Great Britain. Vessel. Height 12 cm; width 7.7 cm; depth 5.7 cm; weight ca. 230 g., A silver-colored metal container with a removable lid sits against a light gray background, showing an octagonal or multi-sided shape with ornate engraved floral and scrollwork designs on its front and sides; the lid is domed with concentric decorative bands and a small rounded finial on top, and the body features textured panels with raised flower motifs and scalloped patterns along the vertical edges, all reflecting highlights of white and pale gray.
