Two-candle candelabrum by Charles Hougham fl. 1769–1793, classicism/George III Georgian style. Two-armed candelabrum on an oval foot bordered with pearling and decorated with a knobbed rosette. Conical, fluted stem topped with a vase-shaped socket containing a setting with two S-shaped arms terminating in saucers and vase-shaped sockets; between the arms is a vase topped with a ball. Sleeves decorated halfway with vertical flutes, smooth above. 1787/1788. England, London. Function: lighting.
