Two-candle candelabrum, Hougham, Charles fl. 1769–1793 goldsmith, classicism style, George III / Georgian style. Two-armed candelabrum on an oval foot, bordered with pearling and decorated with a knobbed rosette. Conical, fluted stem, topped with a vase-shaped socket, in which is set a setting with two S-shaped arms terminating in saucers and vase-shaped sockets with drip-pans; in the centre between the arms is a vase topped with a ball; sleeves decorated halfway with vertical flutes, smooth above. 1787/1788. England; London, Great Britain. Lighting. Height 38 cm; width 39 cm; depth 12 cm; weight 1060 g., A symmetrical metallic fixture with a central decorative round plate connected to two matching oval cups by curved arms, all showing polished silver tones with reflective highlights and darker shadowed areas, and small beaded and scalloped edge details; visible colors include silver, gray, black, and white.
