Two-candle candelabrum by Charles Hougham fl. 1769–1793, goldsmith; classicism/George III/Georgian style; 1787/1788, London, England. Two-armed candelabrum on an oval foot bordered with pearling and decorated with a knobbed rosette. Conical, fluted stem topped with a vase-shaped socket containing a setting with two S-shaped arms terminating in saucers and vase-shaped sockets with spouts; a central vase topped with a ball between the arms. Sleeves decorated halfway with vertical flutes, smooth above. Material: silver lighting. Dimensions: height 38 cm, width 39 cm, depth 12 cm; weight 1060 g., A symmetrical metallic object with a polished silver appearance rests against a neutral gray background, featuring a central covered urn with a rounded finial and fluted lower body, flanked by two curved double-armed supports that extend outward to hold matching open cup-like holders with fluted lower sections and flat circular drip trays with beaded edges; the metal shows reflective highlights and subtle shadows in shades of silver and gray, with a few darker toned areas where contours and grooves create contrast.
