Buliera kettle for boiling water, maker: Benjamin Gignac fl. 1745–1774, goldsmith. Rocaille ornament; Rococo style with Georgian/George II influences. Spherical buliera with flat bow mounted on volutes; lateral spout-shaped spout; centrally arched cover topped with a pine cone. Decorated overall with repoussé rococo decoration and floral/plant ornaments. Two engraved coats of arms: one four-field shield in an oval beneath a baronial crown, the second in an illegible shield. Missing base with heater. Dated 1753/1754, London, England, Great Britain. Vessel. Height 22 cm, width 24 cm, depth 19 cm, weight 848 g., A round metal teapot with an ornate raised handle and curved spout, shown against a plain light background; the teapot surface features intricate floral and scroll embossing across its body and lid, with a textured finial on top shaped like a pinecone; the metal appears shiny and silvery with highlights and subtle gray reflections, and the background shows shades of pale gray and white.
