Teapot, maker: John Emes fl. 1796–1808. Ovoid silver teapot on a circular base with lid; Georgian/George III, Empire style, circa 1806–1807, London, England. Decorated on the upper belly with a wide band of meander ornament and braid; ribbon-shaped broken handle decorated with braid; high-set spout decorated at the base with a stylized palmette; lid finished with a knob-shaped handle. Belly engraved with a coat of arms on one side and a cross on the other. Vessel for tea. Height 17.9 cm, width 23.7 cm, weight 815 g., A polished metal container with a hinged lid shown open, featuring a vertical handle running down its front; the body is smooth and rounded with a slightly flared base and a decorative band near the top with a repeating angular pattern, and the lid and rim have circular ornamental engraving. The visible colors are silver, pale gray, and subtle reflections of white.
