Tray on legs by William Bennet fl. 1796–1825, English Regency, 1811–1812. Rectangular tray with rounded edges on four legs shaped as stylised lotus flowers, with a mirror and raised profiled collar; edge decorated with a godron ribbon. Decorated with an engraved representation of a swan drawing heavily worn. Materials: presumably silver; height 3.3 cm, width 26.6 cm, depth 20.4 cm, weight 758 g., A rectangular metal tray with rounded corners sits on three short decorative feet; the tray surface and raised rim are metallic silver with a polished finish, showing fine scratches and subtle surface marks, and the rim features a repeating twisted rope-style pattern in silver.
