Teapot by Henry Moreton fl. 1899–1930s, goldsmith and factory owner; neo-Rococo style, relief decoration, acanthus leaves and godrons ornamentation. Egg-shaped teapot on an oval plinth with a side spout, sleeves for attaching a wooden handle mounted on the axis handle added contemporarily. Upper edge bordered with a band of godrons and a wide collar; hinged, centrally arched lid topped with a handle. Oval blind reserve on the belly with acanthus rim. Dated 1909/1910, made in Chester, England. Vessel; height 13.5 cm, width 26 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 555 g., A silver teapot with ornate raised floral and scrollwork decoration across its rounded body and spout, a hinged lid that is open showing the interior rim, and a curved spout with decorative motifs; the teapot has a contrasting angular black handle attached at the back, a ribbed edge around the top, and a slightly raised base. The visible colors are silver, black, and subtle variations of gray on the background and reflected surfaces.
