Single-candle candlestick by William Cafe fl. 1757–ca. 1802, silver, 1763/1764. Rococo George II style: rocaille ornament, plant tendrils, flowers, shells, cartouches and acanthus leaves in slight spiral twist. On a raised domed foot with hexagonal rim decorated with flower heads at the corners, passing into a baluster shaft and terminating in a vase-shaped socket with a disc-shaped drip pan. Height 29 cm; diameter 16.9 cm; weight 695 g. Origin: London, England., A single ornate metallic candlestick stands upright against a smooth pale gray background, featuring a reflective silver surface with sculpted floral and leaf motifs along its shaft and broad decorative base; the design includes rounded and curved forms, embossed roses and petals, and flowing scrollwork, all rendered in shades of silver and gray.
