Two-eared vase by Hutton & Sons Ltd goldsmith and silversmith firm; fl. 1800–1930. Scrap-purchase provenance. Vase on a circular stepped-profile foot and short stem; smooth, cylindrical body with a slightly upturned upper edge and two profiled volute-shaped handles on the sides. Dated 1926/1927. Great Britain, Birmingham, England. Vessel; height 15 cm, width 21 cm, depth 13.5 cm, weight 540 g., A silver two-handled cup with a rounded body and a flared rim standing on a stepped circular base, showing a smooth reflective surface with light scratches and small blemishes; the handles are curving and ornate with hooked ends and are attached symmetrically at each side; the overall colors visible are shades of silver and gray with subtle highlights and shadows.
