Platter lampshade, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmith; Silver hemispherical lampshade with a non-original, contemporary handle, smooth, with a profiled ribbon edge. On the side, a relief plaque with the Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament, under a princely mitre, with labry and the motto Badz co sie Be that as it may. 1803/1804, London, England, Great Britain. Vessel; height 8.5 cm, diameter 15.2 cm, weight approx. 230 g., A large domed metal cloche with a rounded knob handle on top; the cloche surface is smooth with visible light scratches and scuffs and a few small spots of tarnish, and there is a decorative element attached near the rim. The colors visible are silvery gray on the cloche, with areas of darker gray where the metal shows patina and shadow, and a pale off-white background.
