Platter lampshade, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmith; Silver hemispherical lampshade with a non-original contemporary handle, smooth with a profiled ribbon edge. On the side, a relief plaque with the Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludamentum, under a princely mitre, with labry and the motto Badz co sie Be that as it may. 1803/1804, London, England, Great Britain. Vessel; height 8.5 cm, diameter 15.2 cm, weight approx. 230 g., A polished domed metal cover with a rounded finial on top, showing a few scuffs and small blemishes on its surface; a decorative raised emblem is affixed near the top center, featuring sculpted human figures and ornamental drapery; the finial is a duller tone and has a ribbed, rounded shape, while the dome displays reflective highlights and subtle scratches; visible colors include silver, gray, and muted beige on the finial, with a neutral white background.
