Platter lampshade, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmith; silver hemispherical lampshade with a non-original handle, smooth, ribbon edge, profiled. Relief plaque with the Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament, under a princely mitre, with labres and the motto Be that as it may. Handle is contemporary. 1803/1804, London, England, Great Britain. Vessel; height 8.5 cm, diameter 15.2 cm, weight approx. 230 g., A large round metallic bowl seen from above with a shallow concave interior showing a weathered, uneven surface in shades of silver and gray and a few darker gray patches, a circular metal disc with a small golden element at its center is visible in the middle, the rim is a slightly brighter silver and the background around the bowl is a pale gray.
