Platter lampshade, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmith; silver hemispherical lampshade with a non-original handle, smooth, ribbon edge, profiled; relief plaque with the Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament, under a princely mitre, with labres and the motto Be that as it may.; handle is contemporary. 1803/1804; London, England, Great Britain. Vessel; height 8.5 cm, diameter 15.2 cm, weight approx. 230 g., A shiny metal dome-shaped object with a rounded knob on top, shown against a pale background; the dome is metallic silver with some darker scuff marks and light scratches, and the knob is a weathered gray with a faint reflection on the dome surface.
