Coffee pot by Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm, fl. 1817–1933 and Charles Stuart Harris maker, fl. 1852–1897. Scrap-purchased. Pear-shaped, ribbed coffee vessel with godron ornaments; belly decorated with a band of narrow half-cylinders and grooves. Supported on four profiled, ball-shaped legs. High handle in the form of a spout on the side; wooden handle contemporary addition on the axis set in silver sockets. Upper edge edged with godron band; hinged lid, domed in the center, topped with a bowling-pin finial. Dated 1895/1896. Great Britain, London, England. Height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A silver metal teapot with a reflective surface and a rounded body sits against a pale gray background; it has a curved spout and a hinged lid topped with a small black finial, a decorative rim around the lid, and a black angular handle attached to the body; the body shows ribbed horizontal bands and a rectangular ribbed panel, with small round feet at the base and visible surface scratches and scuffs in the silver.
